Senior Campaign Adviser to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has praised the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer for his exceptional leadership and significant contributions to Ghana’s development.
In an interview on Channel One TV, Mr Agyepong highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s notable achievements during his time at the Bank of Ghana and his seven-year tenure as Vice President, underscoring his ability to deliver strong, results-oriented leadership.
He commended Dr. Bawumia for his innovative ideas and tireless energy, noting his unique role in fostering unity between Muslims and Christians by focusing on their shared Ghanaian identity.
Mr Agyepong also called on party members to put aside any lingering differences and rally behind Dr. Bawumia to ensure victory in the 2024 elections.
“His background has made him very empathetic. He enjoys the affection of many within the party, which is a great asset. He has been chosen by the party, and I fully respect that decision.’
“He won overwhelmingly, and I believe Bawumia has the opportunity to lead both the party and the country into a new era, with fresh ideas and renewed energy. Of course, he has learned a lot from the challenges we’ve faced over the past two to three years, especially after the economic downturn.”
