He scored at the perfect time – West Ham attacker praises Mohammed Kudus after win over Ipswich

-

West Ham United forward, Jarrod Bowen has lauded teammate Mohammed Kudus for his crucial goal in their 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Kudus, a Ghanaian international, netted West Ham’s second goal, giving them a 2-1 lead just before halftime.

Reflecting on the match, Bowen, who also scored, highlighted the significance of Kudus’ goal, noting how it shifted the momentum in their favour.

“Mo scored at the perfect time because 1-1 is always a dangerous scoreline, and we spoke at half-time about getting the next goal and putting the game to bed,” the English international said.

He also expressed his delight for his teammates, saying, “I’m really happy for Mo (Kudus), Mick (Michail Antonio) and Lucas (Paqueta), and I think there were good performances in defence and midfield as well,” he added.

The win marked West Ham’s first of the season, following a tough start under manager Julen Lopetegui.

Kudus will now shift focus to international duty, as Ghana prepares for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying doubleheader against Sudan.
