Hearts of Oak coach, Aboubakara Ouattara has expressed disappointment in his players’ attitude following their goalless draw against Aduana FC.
The Phobians hosted the two-time Ghana Premier League champions on Matchday 5 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Friday night. Despite a hard-fought game, the scoreline remained 0-0.
Speaking to the press after the match, the Ivorian coach revealed his concerns, noting that he sensed trouble even before the game began due to the players’ behaviour during the warm-up.
“A lot of things happened before the match started. At the beginning of the match, before we started the warm-up, I wasn’t happy about some attitudes I saw in my players,” he told the press.
“That’s why I told them at half-time that when I saw that, I knew the match would be difficult for us today,” Ouattara added.
Hearts of Oak currently sit sixth on the league table with five points, though other teams still have to play their Week 5 fixtures.
The Phobians will be looking to bounce back when they face Young Apostles at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on October 13, 2024.
