A bus carrying students and teachers from Kwahu Tafo Senior High School has been involved in a serious accident at Akyem Ettukrom along Osiem to Bunso road in the Eastern Region on Friday evening.
The students were returning from Koforidua after participating in a zonal sports competition when the crash occurred.
Several students and other occupants of the bus sustained injuries and were quickly rescued by emergency responders.
They were transported to the nearby Osiem Hawa Hospital for medical treatment.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
Images from the scene show the bus overturned in a bush, with students seen escaping through its windows.
Local police are investigating the incident to determine what led to the crash.
