Galamsey fight: The church should have a strong voice – Dr Boadi Nyamekye [Audio]

-

A renowned lecturer, author, and preacher, Dr Michael Boadi Nyamekye, has urged the church to lend a strong voice in the fight against illegal mining popularly known as galamsey.

According to the General Overseer of The Maker’s House Chapel International, the church has a major role to play in ending the illegality which is wreaking havoc.

Dr Nyamekye said this while speaking on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday.

He emphasised that, the church is a major player in national building, adding the church is the collection of the people who are in a greater society.

The renowned man of God noted that, the church is not only there to motivate but can educate people.

“The church is there to educate people. We have a lot of preachers who are inspirational but not instructive but we need to marry both such that we are not just merchants of hope but give instruction to redirect and re-order the path of people. So yes the church can do more and lend a strong voice,” he said.

He added that, it is important for galamseyers to be exposed to the dangers their activities pose to the country.
