The campaign team for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, has outlined a series of key events scheduled for this week as he intensifies preparations for the 2024 elections.
According to the team, these activities highlight Mahama’s dedication to inclusivity, community involvement, and faith-based values.
The week begins with the NDC Women’s Manifesto launch in Kumasi on Monday, September 30, 2024.
This event, set to take place at the Great Hall of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the Ashanti Region, will be led by Mr. Mahama and his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
The manifesto seeks to empower women and advance gender inclusivity in governance, reinforcing Mahama’s commitment to increasing women’s representation in leadership positions.
Following the manifesto launch, Mr. Mahama will meet with Christian leaders in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as part of his #MahamaConversations series.
This meeting will focus on shared national values and the role of faith in driving development.
During the dialogue, Mahama is expected to reiterate his promise to establish a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, fostering interfaith unity and spiritual growth for the country’s progress.
To close out the week, Mahama will embark on a four-day campaign tour of the North East and Savanna Regions, beginning Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
The tour aims to directly connect with Ghanaians, especially in rural communities, addressing key economic issues and the challenge of rising costs.
