The family of Ghanaian music producer Unda Beatz has shared heartbreaking details about his final days, revealing that he had been struggling with a serious health issue before his passing.
According to his family, Unda Beatz, whose real name is Eric Nkrumah, was allegedly suffering from a painful boil in his throat that made it difficult for him to eat or drink.
Despite celebrating his birthday just days before his untimely death, his family disclosed that he wasn’t feeling well even on that special day.
They added that he had started treatment and even visited a pharmacy to get medication for the condition.
“He hadn’t been well for some time, even on his birthday, he wasn’t himself. He had a boil in his throat and couldn’t eat or drink water. He went to the pharmacy to get some drugs,” a family member reportedly told Gossips 24 TV.
Tragically, the family revealed that Unda Beatz slept the night before he passed away and never woke up.
“He spent part of the night in his mother’s room before returning to his own. The next morning, when we checked on him, we found him unresponsive,” the family member added.
Unda Beatz passed away on September 26, 2024, just four days after celebrating his birthday on September 22.
His sudden death has left fans and industry colleagues in shock, with close friends like Yaa Pono taking to social media to express their grief.
