The Council is however facing financial and logistical challenges, hindering its ability to carry out its mandate effectively.

Professor Mark Boadu, Eastern Regional Chairman of the Peace Council said the council currently faces financial and logistical constraints.

“The Council is often held back by few constraints notably financial and logistical. Contrary to the common belief that the Peace Council is rich, I wish to say it has never been so. The council is not a paid institution,” he said, adding that only the executive officers receive monthly salaries. “The Council is not a paid institution. We are not paid but the Executive officers working there are paid monthly”.
