Midfielde,r Majeed Ashimeru has assured that the Black Stars will go all out to win their remaining matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, with hopes of securing a place in the tournament.

The senior national team have struggled in the qualifiers so far, starting with a disappointing 1-0 loss to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium. Their second Group F match ended in a 1-1 draw against Niger in Berkane.

With just one point from two games, Ghana currently sits in 3rd place in the group.

Ahead of their crucial doubleheader against Sudan next month, Ashimeru, who plays for Anderlecht, acknowledged the high expectations from Ghanaians. He emphasized the team’s determination to fight for victory in the remaining matches.

“We know what Ghana demands from other players, so we’re just going all out to win the games and hopefully we can qualify for the AFCON,” Ashimeru told Flashscore.com.

Ghana will host Sudan on Friday, October 11, at a venue yet to be confirmed, before playing the return leg on Monday, October 14, at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
