The Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, has called on Ghanaians to rally behind her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the upcoming December elections.
She remarked that, Dr. Bawumia is prepared to serve the nation and will prioritize the needs and aspirations of the people to improve their living conditions.
During her campaign tour in the Eastern Region, Mrs. Bawumia addressed the chiefs and residents of the Upper West Akyem Constituency, stressing the importance of the December 7 election for the future of the country.
She argued that, the NPP candidate has a solid track record and is the right leader to continue Ghana’s progress.
She also outlined Dr. Bawumia’s plans to transform Ghana’s digital landscape, including an ambitious initiative to build one million Ghanaian digital talents, aimed at empowering the youth and driving the nation’s development.
For her part, the National Women’s Organizer of the NPP, Kate Gyamfua, urged NPP supporters to avoid complacency, warning them against allowing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to gain momentum.
She reinforced the idea that the NPP is the only party with a proven track record of development and should be trusted with the nation’s future.
Frederick Obeng Adom, the Deputy Transport Minister and NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Upper West Akyem Constituency, echoed the call.
He appealed to constituents to vote for Dr. Bawumia, citing his ability to bring accelerated development and continue the policies of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
