The Ghana Highway Authority has announced scheduled maintenance on the Apedwa-Ejisu segment of the Accra-Kumasi Highway, aimed at enhancing the pavement’s riding quality and ensuring improved safety and traffic flow.

This 160 km stretch is vital for connecting Accra and Kumasi, traversing significant economic hubs such as Bunso Junction, Anyinam, Konongo, and Ejisu.

In a statement, the Highway Authority highlighted that the maintenance efforts are focused on improving the road’s riding quality and extending its lifespan.

Representing the Ministry of Roads and Highways, the Authority has notified the public and motorists that certain sections of the highway will undergo lane closures during the maintenance process.

Motorists should anticipate reduced speeds and potential delays; however, contractors will implement effective traffic management measures to facilitate safe passage.

The Authority further appreciated the public’s understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
