Quack doctor arrested for performing penis enlargement surgery for 20 years

A Bangkok man, Kittikorn Songsri, has been arrested for performing penis enlargement surgeries and filler injections on hundreds of patients without any medical qualifications.

The 36-year-old, who charged up to £450 per treatment, reportedly began conducting these procedures at age 14 after dropping out of school.

Mr. Songsri was apprehended after a patient reported a severe infection following a silicone injection.

This led Thai police from the Consumer Protection Division to set up a sting operation, where an undercover officer posed as a prospective client.

Upon raiding his premises, authorities discovered unhygienic conditions unsuitable for medical procedures.

During interrogation, Mr. Songsri admitted to having no medical license, despite carrying out these surgeries for over two decades.

His operations included a variety of enlargement treatments, such as implant surgeries and filler injections, often resulting in severe complications for patients.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about unregulated cosmetic procedures and their health risks, particularly for those seeking body modifications outside established medical facilities.
