Nsoatreman FC General, Manager Eric Alagidede has revealed the team’s intention to defend their FA Cup title after being eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup.
Last season, Nsoatreman triumphed over their rivals, Bofoakwa Tano, to win the FA Cup and were eager to make a statement in their first-ever Confederation Cup appearance.
They initially secured a victory against Chadian club Elect Sports in the preliminary round but faced a tough challenge against CS Constantine.
Nsoatreman FC lost the first leg 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium and fell 1-0 in the return match at Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui.
Reflecting on the team’s experience, Alagidede told Asempa FM‘s Ultimate Sports Show, “It was a learning curve for us”.
“We will focus on the domestic league to defend our FA Cup title and perform well in the Ghana Premier League,” he added.
Nsoatreman FC is set to face Accra Lions in Matchday four of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium this weekend.
