Janet Nabla vows to injunct 2024 elections over her disqualification

-

Flagbearer of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Asana Nabla has vowed to take legal action after her disqualification from the 2024 presidential election.

Madam Nabla revealed that, she will commence the process at the Supreme Court latest by Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

The Electoral Commission(EC) on Friday announced the disqualification of Madam Nabla and 10 other after vetting processes.

According to the EC, some errors were detected in the nomination forms and some candidates corrected them but others returned the forms with the same or similar mistakes, hence the disqualification.

But Janet Nabla who broke away from the People National Convention (PNC) is not taking the decision lightly.

She has accused the EC of being dishonest.

“I will place an injunction on election 2024. The EC is being dishonest. They should come out and tell me what the exact errors were in my forms.

“The Electoral Commission is one of the organisations that I think the time has come for Ghanaians to come together to campaign and make sure that all those in the body are removed, because these are people who are not just truthful, they are not transparent, and their work is not for Ghanaians. They do things for their whims and caprices,”she fumed in an interview on Accra-based 3FM.

The other disqualified candidates were PNC’s Bernard Mornah, Nana Stephens Adjepong, Paul Perkoh, James Kwesi Oppong, John Enyonam Kwakwu Kpikpi, Dr Samuel Sampong Ankrah, Nii Amu Darko Samuel Apea-Danquah and Desmond Abrefah who are all independent candidates.

The Progressive People’s Party’s (PPP) Kofi Asamoah Siaw has also been disqualified.
