The flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor is heaving a sigh of relief after being cleared by the Election Commission (EC) to contest the December general elections.

This was after a thorough vetting process, the list includes individuals from a range of political backgrounds, including candidates from major parties as well as several independents.

The announcement comes after months of political campaigns and rigorous qualification checks by the EC to ensure each candidate met the required criteria.

The presidential hopeful seeking to change Ghana’s fortunes through agriculture believes she is the best bet for Ghanaians ahead of the crucial polls.

Madam Donkor will be vying for the top position with the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama.
