Asante Kotoko announces new home grounds after Baba Yara Stadium closure

-

Asante Kotoko has confirmed Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium as their temporary home venue for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

This come after the Baba Yara Stadium was closed down by the National Sports Authority (NSA) for maintenance after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) banned the stadium, citing that it is unfit to host international games.

As a result of the ban, Kotoko has been forced to relocate from their home venue and have settled on the Len Clay Stadium as their home grounds.

Their first home fixture at the Len Clay Stadium will be against Young Apostles on Sunday, September 22.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko is expected to pay approximately GHS 10,000 for playing each match at the venue.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to return to the Baba Yara Stadium when the renovation works are done.
