Election 2024: Reject Mahama, he lacks ideas – Bawumia

-

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has criticized John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, for lacking innovative ideas to drive Ghana’s development.

Speaking to party supporters after a visit to the La Traditional Council in Accra on Thursday, Dr. Bawumia emphasized that voting for the NPP would lead to prosperity for all Ghanaians, contrasting it with what he described as Mahama’s uninspired leadership.

He particularly questioned Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy plan, which includes nightclubs, challenging its relevance to the country’s economic growth.

Reaffirming the NPP’s focus on progressive solutions, Dr. Bawumia said, “This election is about whether we are moving into the future or the past. We want to go into the future—where it’s about jobs, digital transformation, and ensuring prosperity for Ghana.

“Former President Mahama has no ideas; he wants us to focus on old ways and 24-hour discos. We are choosing a new path, one that creates jobs for our youth,” he remarked.
