Black Stars coach Otto Addo is confident that his team is the favourite to win against Niger in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The four-time African champions will face the Super Eagles in their second Group F match later today at the Stade Municipal de Berkane, with kickoff scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
Ahead of the match, the 45-year-old coach expressed strong belief in his team’s chances but also emphasized the need for focus and concentration.
“This game, we are surely the favourites and I am very, very confident that we will win this game. But in football, anything can happen,” the coach said.
“We saw it last time against Angola, the way the game looked. I never thought we would lose this game, but in football now there is no weak opponent.
“So we have to be focused, we have to be concentrated, we have to do our job. Then the probability that we win is very, very high,” he added.
Ghana began their campaign with a 1-0 loss to Angola last Thursday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
