Former Chairperson of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah has been elected the flagbearer for the December 7 election.

This was at the CPP’s presidential primary held in all 16 regions nationwide on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Nana Frimpomaa contested the race with legal practitioner, Yaw Anokye Frimpong.

At the end of the election, the total votes cast were 1,360.

Mr Frimpong polled 586 while Nana Kumankumah secured 763 votes with 11 ballots rejected.
