The Convention People’s Party (CPP) is holding a Presidential Congress to select a flagbearer in the Ashanti Region.
423 delegates have gathered at the GNAT Hall in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi for the event.
Similar elections are taking place across all 16 regions to choose a flagbearer.
The two candidates for the position are former Chairman Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah and legal practitioner Frimpong Yaw Anokye.
With only three months to the general elections, many party members are hopeful that selecting the right candidate will make a significant impact.
