100 Days to Elections Campaign Launch: NDC sends important message to EC over pink sheets [Audio]

-

Director of IT and Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Omane Boamah has raised concerns about past issues related to the handling of pink sheets at polling stations.

He stressed the need for transparency and accurate reporting of election results.

In an interview on Adom TV, part of Adom Brands’ 100 Days to Elections countdown launch, Dr. Omane Boamah outlined the NDC’s plans to address these concerns.

He said the party will engage media houses to educate them on the pink sheet process.

“We will engage media houses and take them through our manuals for them to understand the pink sheet” the NDC man stressed

He acknowledged the possibility of arithmetic errors by the Electoral Commission (EC) that could affect results.

To mitigate these issues, he revealed that the NDC will conduct training sessions in 10 regions over the next seven days, with a total of three training sessions planned.

“The EC could make arithmetic errors that would mar results.”

Dr. Omane Boamah therefore urged the EC to display a copy of the pink sheets at each polling station to provide transparency and ensure that all parties can access the terminal report.

He also suggested that, media personnel should take photographs of the results.

“The EC should use the copy of the pink sheets to paste on the polling station for all to know their terminal report. The media person should also take a photo,” he advised.

The 100 Days to Elections campaign, aims to ensure clarity and transparency as the nation approaches the December 7 elections.
