CAF CL: We are not scared playing against Raja Club Athletic – FC Samartex President

-

President OF FC Samartex, Richard Nsenkyire remains confident ahead of their upcoming match against Raja Club Athletic, despite the formidable reputation of their opponents.

The Ghana Premier League team is set to face the Moroccan giants in the second round of the CAF Champions League preliminary stages.

The Timber Giants will play host to Raja on Friday, September 13, at the Accra Sports Stadium, before heading to Morocco for the return leg on September 20 at Stade Larbi Zaouli.

Despite the challenge, Dr Nsenkyire insists that his team is not intimidated by Raja’s pedigree.

“We are not moved by names, if it is only names, we would not be where we are,” Richard said in an interview with JoySports.

“Nobody gave us a chance when we went to Douala [against Victoria United] but we were able to secure victory and secure victory here [Accra] as well and I can promise Ghanaians that they are going to see football from us.

“We are focused, we are doing our normal training. We are going to take it game by game, it is also another football game,” he added.

Before the clash with Raja, FC Samartex will face FA Cup champions Nsoatreman FC on August 31 in the Champion of Champions match, followed by their Premier League opener against Dreams FC next month.
