NDC to conduct forensic audit to uncover corruption in gov’t projects

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to conduct a thorough forensic audit to ensure value for money in government projects if they win the 2024 elections.

The member of the NDC Communication team, Alex Kyeremeh disclosed this in an interview with Adom News, stating the forensic audit is to ensure accountability.

Mr. Kyeremeh emphasized that the audit will also help to identify and recover misused government funds.

He also highlighted the party’s plans to review and improve the free SHS programme, including the establishment of a dedicated fund, decentralization of food procurement, and completion of abandoned school projects.

The NDC’s promise of a forensic audit comes amidst concerns about corruption and mismanagement in government projects.

The party has assured Ghanaians that they will take bold steps to restore integrity in government and ensure that public funds are used for the benefit of all citizens.

The former Deputy Education Minister added that, the NDC’s commitment to education, promising to improve infrastructure, complete abandoned school projects, and abolish the double track system.

Additionally, the party has pledged to pay for all first-year tertiary students and make student loans accessible to all.
