NDC’s mainfesto people-centered; will benefit all Ghanaians – Ablakwa

The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has stated that the 2024 NDC manifesto is people-centered and will benefit all Ghanaians.

According to him, the NDC is committed to compensate victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage and also construct resettlement in the Tongu enclaves and Lower Volta Basin when elected into power on December 7.

Mr Ablakwa emphasised that the NDC will revamp the abandoned Juapong Textile Limited to create jobs for the people.

Additionally, the former Deputy Education Minister noted that, there are plans to establish tertiary institutions to improve education in the Tongu communities and also elevate the Battor Clinic to be a Hospital.

He was speaking in an interview with Adom News on the sidelines of the Thanksgiving Service held at Juapong following the Royal Inauguration of the Tongu Chiefs.

The event was held under the theme: Uniting Tongu for Development.

Mr Ablakwa commended the chiefs and queen mothers in Tongu uniting to bring development to the area.

As their widow’s mite, Mr Ablakwa and his colleague MPs in South and Central Tongu respectively; Kobena Mensah Woyome and Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze pledged GH₵50,000 towards the construction of the Tongu Chiefs Union Secretariat to enhance their discharge of duties.
