The President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has commended the 2024 manifesto of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the December 7 election.
According to him, although the manifesto touches on several sectors and policies announced by other presidential aspirants, it is clear, relatable, humane, and universal.
This in his view, makes the NDC manifesto stands taller among the others.
“Politicians are interesting and I like the fact that they are all focusing on the big issues; jobs, private sector and education which is very important. Mahama, Bawumia, Alan, Cheddar, all these people are talking about jobs, economy, basically, and then maybe trying to transform the private sector as well, which is a good thing.
“But let me say that what separated the NDC manifesto from the rest, with what I had on that day, was the fact that it was relatable, it was clear, it was humane, and it was universal,” he said.
Themed ‘Change To Reset Ghana‘, the manifesto launched on August 24 outlined a comprehensive plan to reset Ghana’s economy, alleviate economic hardships, promote good governance, tackle gender equality and period poverty.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Mr Cudjoe emphasised the pledge of the flagbearer, John Mahama to provide free sanitary towel and also to allocate 30% of public office positions to qualified women was the core of the manifesto for him.
He noted the shift to the needs of the people, especially the marginalised and ‘neglected’Â highlights the importance of good governance.
