Bimbilla: I won’t go independent – Disqualified NPP parliamentary aspirant

-

The disqualified NPP parliamentary aspirant for the Bimbilla constituency, Ahmed Zaruk Nuhu, has announced that he will not run as an independent candidate in the upcoming elections.

Zaruk, who was barred from challenging the incumbent MP and Minister for Defence, Dominic Nitiwul, initially faced significant backlash from his supporters.

The disqualification sparked unrest, with angry constituents, particularly the youth, vandalizing the party’s office in protest.

Despite pressure from some supporters to contest as an independent candidate, Zaruk, popularly known as “Sokam Zaruk,” has decided against it.

After consulting with party elders and opinion leaders, he declared that he has no intention of pursuing an independent bid.

Zaruk reaffirmed his loyalty to the NPP and expressed full support for the party’s principles.

He also addressed rumours that he had been offered money to stay out of the race, firmly denying these allegations.

Expressing his gratitude to his supporters and the people of Bimbilla for their unwavering support, Zaruk assured them that he remains committed to serving their interests in the future.
