A trailer truck on Wednesday overturned on the Accra-Tema stretch of the motorway, causing significant vehicular traffic.
The trailer overturned near the Ashaiman Presby Junction but the details remain sketchy.
Some witnesses told Accra-based Citi News the incident occurred earlier in the day but efforts to clear the road for free traffic flow resulted in the congestion.
The frustrated road users emphasised the need for prior notice in such events to reduce traffic congestion on the stretch.
