The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to vote for a “brand new, tear-rubber President” with fresh ideas to address the nation’s challenges by choosing the NPP in the upcoming elections.
Dr. Bawumia characterized a vote for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Mahama as a choice for a “second-hand, failed President.”
During a community engagement on Wednesday in the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern Region, he emphasized that electing him would ensure accountability in governance.
“I have not yet served as President, so by voting for me, you are electing a brand-new, tear-rubber president. But if you vote for John Dramani Mahama, you are opting for a second-hand, failed President.
“Would you prefer a brand-new or a second-hand president? If you want a brand-new leader, vote for Bawumia and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah,” he asserted.
