As the election day approaches, politicians are once again employing various strategies to connect with their constituents and secure votes.
Simon Kweku Tetteh, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency, took a unique approach during his house-to-house campaign.
In a bid to engage with the community on a personal level, Hon. Tetteh was seen folding constituents’ dried clothes and preparing banku.
He was captured on video stirring banku like a professional, while his dumbfounded constituents looked on.
This gesture is part of his effort to make himself more relatable and win the hearts of voters.
This comes shortly after the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson, also captured attention by hawking watermelons for her constituents.
Both acts reflect the lengths to which politicians are going to secure votes in the upcoming elections.
