Nsoatreman FC began their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup journey with a resounding 3-0 victory over Elect-Sport FC.
The Ghana Premier League team welcomed the Chadian club to the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the first leg of the preliminary round.
Under the guidance of Yaw Preko, Nsoatreman FC fielded a formidable starting lineup.
Abdul Rahman scored twice, finding the back of the net in the 30th and 36th minutes, before former Ghana U20 winger Kwabena Adu Meider sealed the win with a goal just before halftime, making it 3-0.

Elect-Sport FC’s troubles worsened when their goalkeeper, Mahamat Bechir, was shown a red card for handling the ball outside his penalty area in the 54th minute.
Winger Stephen Diyou nearly added a fourth goal for Nsoatreman FC, but his shot was denied by the woodwork in the 70th minute.
The second leg of the preliminary round will take place at a neutral venue in Cameroon on Saturday, August 24, as Elect-Sport FC’s home stadium does not meet CAF’s standards for hosting international matches.
Should Nsoatreman FC advance past Elect-Sport FC, they will face either Police FC of Rwanda or CS Constantine of Algeria in the next round.
Nsoatreman FC earned their spot in the CAF Confederation Cup after winning the 2023/24 Ghana FA Cup.
