Akufo-Addo-Bawumia gov’t has neglected Volta region for the past 8 years – Joyce Bawah Mogtari

-

The campaign spokesperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Joyce Bawah Mogtari has descended on the Akufo-Addo-led regime for what she describes as deliberately failing to give the Volta region a fair share of the national cake.

Madam Mogtari who is part of the NDC’s team touring the region is outraged by the level of neglect, punishments and untold hardships the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has bestowed on the people.

“Wherever we went and all areas we toured, it is evident that the economic hardship is biting harder in the Volta region. You saw abandoned projects, you saw how road projects have been neglected, this shows how the region has been neglected,” she fumed.

She added that, the ruling regime lacks the commitment and interests to bring growth to the people.

These comments are really meant to remind the people of the Volta region, which political party cares about them.

The NDC and its flagbearer have been telling voters to help in making or giving the NPP single digit percentage in the general elections.

She said “You the media personnel have been part of our tour, are you able to mention one project you saw people attributing to the NPP?”

The NDC has enjoyed an extremely encouraging reception in the four days of the tour, pointing clearly to an energized grassroots; and, exactly what the target of the party was, prior to the start of their visits.

Joyce Bawah strongly believes per the euphoria that has characterized their engagements, the region will massively vote for John Mahama and the NDC.

“The NDC has the youth in the Volta region should be rest assured that the second coming of John Mahama will bring them hope and make their livelihoods better” she added.
