The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on August 12, 2024,  visited the Ga Mantse’s palace in Accra to extend his well wishes to King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and the Ga people as they celebrated the Homowo Festival.

During the visit, the Ga Mantse offered a heartfelt prayer for Dr. Bawumia, wishing him success in his presidential campaign.

The king stressed the importance of sincerity and good intentions.

“May all go well during your campaign. Naaye Wulomoi are not here, but they hear me as I speak. May Naaye bless you, may Sakomu bless you, and may Naa Korle bless you. As you walk on this land, may you be blessed. May everyone you speak to listen to you and do what you say. There is nothing in this world that should be discarded when done with a good heart.”

He continued with his blessings, saying:

“May you be blessed in all you do if you are doing it with a good heart. You are blessed in all you do… may more opportunities open for you.”

After his prayers, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II requested Dr. Bawumia’s assistance in addressing concerns about the Salaga Market.

He noted that, the over 400 traders are breathing on his neck over the state of the market.

“But there is one thing I would like you to do for me. My people are complaining about the Salaga Market. I’m leaving it in your hands. If you are able to do something about it, it would be good for the Ga people.”
