Reinstated NDC Central Regional Chairman pledges unity

-

Reinstated Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu has pledged to unite the party for victory in the December 7 election.

According to him, the suspension was in the interest of the party in his attempt to avert issues that could affect the NDC’s fortunes.

Prof Asiedu made these remarks when teeming supporters gave him a rousing welcome to the Central Region, where he met with constituents of Awutu Senya East.

“I came here with one purpose, and that is to unite the party for victory in the 2024 elections. As NDC members, we will settle our issues amicably and forge ahead.

“I went on suspension not for stealing, but to ensure that the right thing is done. Unfortunately, I was suspended, and it was for the interest of the party. You must all emulate the same. Never hold grudges against anyone in the party as supporters; it is for the good of the party,” Professor Asiedu stated.

The NDC national leadership suspended Prof. Asiedu and the Assin Central Secretary, Sadiq Broni Yeboah for a month.

This was in connection with the suspension of the Assin Central Parliamentary candidate, Nurein Shaibu Migyimah, citing immoral acts and anti-party activities.
