The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will lead a major event called “The Mega Ofie Walk” in the Akuapim North constituency of the Eastern region.

This walk is designed to rally party faithful and supporters, energizing them to break the eight-year governance cycle.

Scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024, the event aims to attract over 5,000 participants.

It will be led by Sammi Awuku, the parliamentary candidate for Akuapim North and Director General of the National Lottery Authority.

The 6-kilometer walk will start at Mamfe and end at Mampong Coronation Park.

This walk will also serve as the official launch of Awuku’s campaign, showcasing the NPP’s strategy to gain a decisive edge over the NDC in the constituency.

Dr. Bawumia will be joined by other prominent NPP figures, including Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Justin Frimpong Kodua, Henry Nana Boakye, Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh, Kwabena Agyepong, Nana Akomea, and Anthony Karbo.

The Eastern Regional Chairman, regional executives, and constituency executives will grace the occasion.

There will also be mega bash by popular musicians such as Guru, Edem, Praye, and Andy Dosty.

The former captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan will also make a special appearance.

Dr. Bawumia is expected to deliver a speech highlighting the importance of continuing with the NPP government to build on its achievements.
