Leicester City may make a move for Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew during the current transfer window, according to The Sun Sports.
The Foxes, who recently secured a swift return to the Premier League, are eyeing the Crystal Palace forward as a potential replacement for Republic of Ireland striker Thomas Christopher Cannon. Cannon, 21, has attracted attention from several clubs and is a top transfer target.
Sheffield United, West Brom, and Stoke City, all competing in the English Championship, are reportedly interested in acquiring Cannon on a loan deal this summer.
Leicester City is prepared to approve a transfer for Cannon if the interested clubs agree to cover a significant portion of his wages.
Jordan Ayew has been a key player for Crystal Palace since joining the team in 2018. Initially arriving on loan, his transfer was made permanent a year later.
Last season, the 30-year-old notched up four goals and eight assists in 37 appearances for Palace. Overall, Ayew has scored 23 goals and provided 22 assists in 211 appearances for the club.
Additionally, Jordan Ayew has reportedly garnered interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
