He noted that their actions will impact the integrity of the Ghana Armed Forces and the nation as a whole as the elections approach on December 7, 2024.

He urged the army officers to maintain the highest standards of conduct at all times.

Brigadier General Asare emphasized that, the military’s mission is to support civil authorities in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens to exercise their democratic rights.

He charged them to ensure that all actions are within the framework of the law and their code of conduct.

He reminded them that their role is to support the police and the Electoral Commission in the democratic process, urging them to be professional, committed, and vigilant during the elections.

He also called on all military officers to extend their full support to the new commanding officer, Lt. Col. Jalal Din Ibrahim, just as they have supported the outgoing commander, Lt. Col. Appiah, in the past.
