An elderly man in his late 60s has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for stealing phones and other valuables at events.
According to reports, the suspect would dress inconspicuously to attend wedding ceremonies uninvited.
He would pose as a family member to steal phones, laptops, and iPads from guests.
His spree came to an end when a family, previously a victim of his scam, recognised and detained him.
In a video shared by Edhub, the man was being questioned by the people he had stolen from before being handed over to the Police.
The post reads “An elderly man, believed to be in his 60s, who dresses discreetly at marriage ceremonies and disguises himself as a family member to steal attendees’ phones, laptops, and iPads, was caught by a household he had previously stolen from during such an event. He was later handed over to the Police.”
