2024 polls: Gonja Youth call for violence-free elections

-

The leadership of the Gonja Youth Association has appealed for a violence-free election ahead of this year’s polls.

They made the call this at the just-ended Damba festival which was dedicated to preaching peace before, during, and after the 2024 general elections.

They urged Ghanaians to continue to embrace political tolerance among social groupings.

The National Gonja Youth President, Lawyer Alhaji Mohammed Osman at the climax of the festival at Cherembo in the Bono-East region, called on the youth to desist from election-related violence ahead of the 2024 polls.

Chief Linguist of the Council of Gonja Chiefs in Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo, Naa Alhaji Ibrahim Kajiti also added his voice to the call, urging the youth against being used to foment trouble during the election.
