The National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has said the December polls will not go into runoff.
According to him, it is one touch victory for former President John Mahama and the NDC in the December polls.
Mr. Gyamfi said Ghanaians are yearning to oust the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from power therefore they wont waste their time going to the polls twice.
“I don’t see this election going to a runoff. Mahama has been missed, and we cannot wait to see him as the next President of Ghana. By the grace of God, Mahama will be sworn in as the next President of Ghana come 7th January 2025,” he said in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday.
Sammy Gyamfi also noted that, Mr. Mahama’s policies and vision for the future signal that people are ready for him.
To him, Mahama’s achievements and legacies are widely known which will make it easier for him to come back and continue his good works.
Sammy Gyamfi said Ghanaians are fed up with the pervasive corruption in government and have already made up their minds to vote against the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government.
