Harry Kane’s impressive start to life at Bayern Munich continued as the England captain hit a hat-trick in a statement win at Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern are chasing a remarkable 12th consecutive Bundesliga title and they turned on the style to establish a 2-0 lead inside the opening 10 minutes.
Dayot Upamecano headed the visitors into a fourth-minute lead before Kane doubled the lead five minutes later.
Kane added the third and fourth goals after half-time.
The former Tottenham forward has a remarkable 15 goals in 10 league Bundesliga appearances after his third hat-trick since joining Bayern in the summer.
After scoring three against Darmstadt last week, Kane has back-to-back hat-tricks in the Bundesliga.
Dortmund, unbeaten in the league since 1 April before Saturday, went close through Donyell Malen while veteran Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer produced a fine save to keep out Marco Reus.
But the damage was done in the opening minutes when Dortmund were blown away by Bayern’s lightning start.
The only negative on an otherwise perfect day for Bayern came in the 43rd minute when boss Thomas Tuchel was booked for arguing with the officials.
Tuchel’s side are second in the table, two points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen who won 3-2 at Hoffenheim.
Meanwhile, fourth-placed Dortmund – who are home to Newcastle United in the Champions League on Tuesday (17:45 GMT) – are seven points off the top.
