The samples of more than 200 workers of Afcons Infrastructure Limited at Kpong where an Indian expatriate has tested positive to COVID-19 have been taken for testing.
A team from health service from the Lower Manya Krobo and Eastern Regional Health Directorate has since Wednesday been screening persons who may have come into contact with an Indian expatriate working with the company tasked to build the railway from Mpakadan in the Asuogyaman district to Tema in the Greater Accra region.

The victim is said to be one of the supervisors of the ongoing Railway project and had daily engagements with workers on site.
Health officials quarantined him at the premises of the company after the assembly man of the area alerted them of his arrival from his country, a few months ago.
The health team in their Personal Protective Equipment visited an apartment housing the construction workers at Kpong and has since been taking samples for testing.
