GHPL: Inter Allies held at home

-

Struggling Legon Cities FC shared spoils with Inter Allies as a second-half strike from Jabila Abdul Karim saw both sides share the spoils.

Red-hot Victorien Adebayor broke the deadlock for the home side before Jabila Abdul Karim cancelled the lead to end the game 1-1.

Going a 2-game winning run, the Capelli Boys were high on confidence with lead marksman Victorien looking ever-dangerous and ever-ready to increase his goal tally against the struggling Moneybags.

Allies started brilliantly when Victorien Adebayor coolly slotted from the penalty spot in the fifteenth minute after Desmond Abuga was brought down in the box.

The goal spurred Allies on and could have increased the tally but Samuel Armah’s effort on goal missed the pole by inches.

An improved performance from Legon Cities FC saw the Royals seeking an equalizer early on in the second half but were met with a stiff opposition.

Their probe was finally rewarded when they received their own penalty in the 70th minute which was expertly converted by in-form Jabila Abdul Karim.

Both sides could have added to their tally but none of their efforts found the back of the net despite four minutes of additional time.
