The 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season enters week 9 and will feature a total of 9 matches across the various match venues.
In this round, two matches will be played on Saturday, February 8, 2020, while the remaining 7 matches have been scheduled to be played on Sunday, February 9, 2020.
On Saturday, King Faisal who remains the only team without a win in the ongoing league, will welcome West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with the hope of finally recording a first victory.Â
In the other game expected to be honoured on the same day, Inter Allies will lock horns with Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium in what will be a capital derby.
The tie promises to be exciting with the two teams tipped to fight till the very end to ensure they come out with a positive result.Â
Later on Sunday, Aduana Stars will welcome Hearts of Oak to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in what is being touted as the biggest fixture of Match Week 9.
The two giants of the Ghanaian top-flight will go into the game with all seriousness to try and amass all 3 maximum points.Â
Elsewhere, top-four side Obuasi Ashanti Gold will play as a host to Liberty Professionals at the Len Clay Sports Stadium. The Miners have been inconsistent and will want to get all 3 points to keep their hopes of winning the league title alive.
League leaders Berekum Chelsea will be gunning for their 6th win of the season when they beseech Elmina Sharks at the Paa Kwasi Nduom Park. Meanwhile, record League champions Asante Kotoko will face a difficult test when they play against Dreams FC on the road.
The remaining fixtures will see Bechem United taking on relegation-threatened Legon Cities FC, Great Olympics with the swagger around them will face Eleven Wonders, as Medeama SC lock horns with Karela United at the Tarkwa Akoon Community Park.
