Alhaji Grusah opens up on King Faisal’s struggle in GPL

-

Alhaji Karim Grusah, owner and bankroller of King Faisal, has admitted that the poor recruitment of the club is the reason for their eight games winless streak in the Ghana Premier League.

King Faisal’s misery continued as they lost 3-4 at home to Great Olympics at the Baba Yara Stadium in match week 8, causing irate fans to criticise the head coach of the team.

Speaking to the press after the defeat, the football administrator admitted that he couldn’t blame the coach for their woes but rather himself.

“Sometimes expatriates who come to the team succeed but this time we have not succeeded,” Grusah said

“But the coach has polished our strikes for us to get two goals today, I didn’t attend a coaching course, that’s why I brought him with money. I can’t throw my money away.”

“I blame myself, not the coach, I will plead with our supporters and Asanteman that I won’t disgrace them, In Sha Allah, King Faisal will revive [sic].

King Faisal are yet to get their first win in the Ghana Premier League as they lie bottom of the table with 3 points.
