The Inter-Party Resistance Against New Voters’ Register (IPRAN), today February 4, 2020 have kick started its third demonstration against the compilation of a new voters’ register for this year’s general elections.
The Coalition’s third demonstration follows two successfully held demonstrations in the Northern and Ashanti Regions.
The demonstration exercise involving hundreds of protesters clad in red and led by leaders of the coalition, began its march from the Kawukudi school park and is currently heading towards the premises of the Electoral Commission (EC) to present a petition against the compilation of a new register.

The protesters will then subsequently head to the Flagstaff House to present a copy of the petition to President Akufo-Addo.
IPRAN has among other things argued against EC’s timing for the compilation of a new register, asserting the EC’s decision is problematic and can plunge the country into chaos.
IPRAN also argues that, the proposed cost for the exercise is unreasonable and will be a complete waste of public funds.
Despite the opposition mounted against the compilation of a new register by IPRAN, the EC has remained adamant as it (EC) continues processes to compile a new voters’ register.
