Former General Secretary of Accra Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee, Maxwell Asabre has hinted Asante Kotoko could have humiliated his former side by 6:0.
The two-much unbeaten run of the Phobians came to an end on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the matchday six fixtures of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
“Kotoko are having the bragging right today because they have a fine team,” he said on Asempa FM.
“Maxwell Konadu and this Kotoko team could have humiliated Hearts of Oak 6:0. Hearts of Oak don’t have a team. They are signing out-of-contract players. If not because of the likes of Nettey and some other two players, we would have been humiliated on Sunday.
Goals from Justice Blay and Naby Keita scored for the Porcupine Warriors whiles Joseph Esso had the consolation goal for the home side.
He continued, “Maxwell Konadu can build another team out of this current Kotoko squad. They are all quality players and they did not come cheap and that is what I want Hearts of Oak to learn.
“It is sad because this is not what Hearts of Oak is known for. Those at the club secretariat must sit up well and bring back the glory days,” he added.
Harts of Oak will travel to Dawu to play Dreams FC in the matchday seven fixtures.
