A member of the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee, Randy Abbey, has said the FA’s decision to dissolve the technical teams of all national football teams had nothing to do with former coach, Kwesi Appiah.
Mr Abbey who spoke on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports show said the decision wasn’t targeted at Mr Appiah or orchestrated with the mind to part ways with him.
“He [Kwesi Appiah] wasn’t under contract with the FA and the decision of the Executive Council was to look elsewhere.
“If there was a contractual agreement, there was no way we could have terminated the contract. He has done his best but we had to move on,” he said.
