Popular aspiring assemblyman aspirant for the Adukrom Nima Electoral Area in the Ashanti region, Nana Adabor Ibrahim Isaah Ampim, popularly known as Hon. Aponkye, has revealed that before the declaration of the election results, his own was released to his opponents to mock him.
But, that, he said, will not deter him because he will be embarking on a ‘Thank You’ tour after which he will head to the Supreme Court to seek redress.
Consoling himself, he described his loss as a blessing from God and revealed he will not despair despite the turnout of events.
Hon. Aponkye, who was first from the bottom after he polled 234, representing 9% of the total votes cast in the December 17 Assembly elections, said he lost because of propaganda from his opponents.

“When they wanted to declare the election results, they went to an uncompleted Junior High School building and gave out my votes to the opposition. Everyone knows this is pure propaganda, “he said.
Speaking on Luv FM’s Drive Time show, he said he was yet to accept defeat, adding that he has many supporters who voted in their numbers for him.
“Everyone agrees I won the election because people voted for me. If the people did not like me why will they take time to follow me everywhere I go and have full support for me?” he quizzed.
