7 love lessons they don’t teach you in school

1. Love lessons you only learn with experience!

Love is a selfless emotion. When two people fall in love they go the extra mile to do everything to make their relationship perfect. But not everyone is born with the knowledge that makes love last a long time. And it is during our young days, especially when we are in school, we are exposed to ideas and truths that shape our future and our thought process. Unfortunately, we hardly get any guidance about how to make a relationship work and we succumb to pretentious tips and tricks that only a Bollywood drama or a fairy tale put in our head. Deep down we all wish we had a help book on how to ace the “love of a lifetime” relationship. A manual on dos and don’ts before we begin a journey of love would be very helpful, isn’t it? There aren’t any textbooks on love in school but that should not hold a person back from learning the greatest lessons on love. So, here are few things about love that they don’t teach you in school but knowing them would definitely make you a better person or a lover.

2. Love is about trusting someone unconditionally

Being in love is like is giving someone the key to your heart and trusting him with it. When we are young we fail to understand the deep connection between love and trust. But with love comes trust, and a relationship becomes meaningful only when we have both.

3. True love makes you stronger

If spending time with your lover gives you strength and being with him fills you with courage then you are in the right relationship. The greatest love lesson is to find a guide in your partner. A special someone who is there to hold you when you fall back.

4. Good looks are a facade

With those three magical words he might be able to cast a spell on you but don’t fall for this. There is more to love than mushy words and gestures. To fall in love with someone’s insecurities, fear and courage should be the first step of any relationship.

5. Loving the person with all his imperfection

Hannah Montana was right all this time—nobody is perfect! Stop wasting your time in searching for a flawless partner. Someone who knows your shortcomings and still admires you is a blessing from God. Your soulmate should be your mirror. One that brings out the best in you by reflecting your imperfections.

6. Join her in her weirdness

A partner is someone you can be weird with and not someone who tries to mould you as per his needs. There have been instances when relationships become bitter because the other person is too stringent about your little weird things. For example, your bathroom singing sessions should not bother him or his lack of table manners should not hold you back from loving him.

7. If it’s messy it’s love

There are times when certain habits of your partner will annoy you, irritate you and even drive you mad but that is what makes your bond stronger. No relationship is devoid of fights. Arguments and disagreements are a part and parcel of every relationship. A true relationship stands the test of time.

8. Make space for each other

A real relationship does not let time and tide constrict it from the true joys of life. Let there be no restrictions and no boundaries when you are in love. Similarly, you should also not make your partner feel constrained and thereby it’s important to give each other some space when in a relationship. Make plans with your friend, spend time with your family. Do not let your world revolve around just one individual.
