A former Deputy Minister of Information is not impressed with President Nana Akufo-Addo’s Encounter with the media.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the President in answering very pertinent questions was very cagy in his responses.
Citing his answers on nepotism and corruption as an example, the former Deputy Information Minister said President Akufo-Addo’s answers were “untenable”.

“There is overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing of his appointees and you [Nana] have cleared them and you are telling us what?” he quizzed.
On nepotism, Mr Ofosu said the presidency is now an avenue to recruit his friends and cronies into government.

He, however, commended the Information Ministry for the organisation which he said was a slight improvement compared to last year’s encounter.
